Day 8- Fishing in Hope/Hiking Palmer Creek

Today's report is about fishing at Hope. We began our day having breakfast and getting our things ready to go fishing and hiking. After everyone was done eating, they started to call us on the bus. When we got on the bus everyone was quite until the bus started moving and the music started playing. While some of us were sleeping, others were laughing and playing. The back of the bus was more active then the front. The Ride was about two hours long but when we got half way there we stopped at Turnagain for a bathroom break. When some students were taking a bathroom break others were readjusted themselves for the rest of the ride. About a hour later we soon arrived at Hope an began to unpack. When we were all ready to fish and got our gear on we ate lunch before we went out to fish.
We caught a good amount of fish and we got a little tired, took a rest and went at it again. Some people caught their limit and some didn't. We saw a black bear cub in the river so we had to get out of the water. While everyone was fishing everyone else was cooking food and making some smores. After everyone done fishing we all came together and ate some hot dogs, burnt smores and beans. Later, everyone was done eating and putting things away. When we were done eating and putting things away, we were called on the bus to leave back to Anchorage. So on the way back we were allowed to listen to our Ipods and eat what we wanted on the bus. Almost everyone was talking and laughing on the bus, because everyone was so energized from fishing and hiking, and ready to leave. The people who were not talking and laughing were sleeping from the hike an from fishing for so long. The bus ride back seemed very short than the bus ride there. When we got back to the school district building, everyone was able to get Popsicle's an extra snacks/drinks to bring home.
