Day 5- Coastal Trail

Oh, Friday was an interesting day. The reason why, you may ask: well, that day we were all going to bike. My first thoughts were, "this is not going to be fun." So everyone went on the bus, got dropped off, then we had to walk up a hill in order to get to the bikes. When we got there, it took a while to get our bikes. The worst part was that it was a very sunny day, so all of us were getting tired of waiting in the basking hot sun.
Finally, everyone got their bikes. some were happy and some were like whatever lets get this over with. From there on we were put into groups. I was in the middle group, I think .... well , I was behind because it's been a while since I have been on a bike, which, by the way, was not easy. I was alone for a while, then the middle last group came behind me. From there on I did not feel bad because I was not the only one coming last, there were more people behind me. Finally, we stopped for a little break, drank some water, then yet again we had to continue. The first group left faster than a roadrunner the rest of us we just went with the flow. I was by the side of my friend… until I lost control of my bike and went down a grassy hill. The good news is that I did not die. Then came the little group to come and help me to keep going on. The group that was helping had to stop because they needed to drink water, but I kept going. I was getting tired, but I knew that I had to get there. Sadly, I fell down again, so I walked the rest of the way. I heard cheers from the others and everyone saying, "yay, you made it!" I was so happy that I finally got to my goal. Then came the others and we cheered for them, too. From there we got on the bus and went home, and that was our crazy bike ride.
Friday was the bright sunny day that we all had to ride through. Don’t we all agree? Well, the day started in the classroom learning, you know it all. We had that great chicken lunch. It was great food. All the students went on the bus ride to downtown, walked up the steep hill, and went to the bikes. We got all of the bikes with the students lined up a picture for the paper. We even had to wait in that hot sun. So then we walked our bikes to that steep hill again. We got on the bikes, went down going fast now were just riding down the Coastal Trail. We went on a walkway across Westchester Lagoon.
So, we were all wondering when we would get to Earthquake Park, which only, like, two miles through the bike ride. When people got there the science group had to stay and do a little science there, but the writing class could go on, so I did.
I got to another stop at some other park and waited a little for some people to catch up. We went on again, riding the bikes. The next stop was the Kincaid Park. But the ride there was still fun. The worst part riding there was the big hill at the end. It was such a killer to bike up. I saw some people walk their bikes up, even I did. So we got there, got some water and we were all waiting for the other students to get here. When some people came to the end, some went on another bike ride around the park. When we got back, we waited for the bus to go and we all got on and the bus ride back. What a bright bike ride, we all had great Friday.
