Day 7- McHugh Creek to Potter's Marsh

Today we took off on another hike. We drove for almost an hour till we got to McHugh Creek and piled out of the bus. We gathered together to get a lecture from Darin about bears. He told us there were many on the trail and that we needed to stay in a 100 foot radius of each other. If we saw any we were to get together and make loud noises to scare it off. We headed up the stairs and stopped for a quick potty break. Then we walked towards the tree-filled trail.


During the trail we saw big loads of bear poop. It was filled with many colors. Some of us wondered what the bear was eating. After the pretty simple hike, we sat down and ate a pleasant lunch. Then, we all gathered up to get on the bus and drive back to the ASD building. When we got back, most of the students were bummed that we had to go back to class for about ten minutes.
